When I first encountered Lee Jenkins, I could tell he was a man on a mission. I was especially impressed with his deep commitment to God that touched everyone he met with love and the overwhelming desire to set them free financially. He was like a John the Baptist, the voice of one crying in the wilderness.
That voice was the one voice never really heard to the fullest in our community at large: the voice of financial freedom and empowerment. Finally, Lee Jenkins, in his prophetic treatise Taking Care of Business, is a voice of financial emancipation. He gives us a picture of the ultimate plan of God. For a people who cannot see the ultimate, they become a slave to the immediate.
The immediate is the world system and poverty is its end. The book you hold in your hand is filled with simple, biblical truths about finances and how to obtain and sustain wealth with godly integrity. Walking in what is revealed develops a total biblical character in you and your family. Using his own life experiences along with others, he explores the path of economic growth within the black experience in America to a kingdom view of empowerment.
I believe the Lord called for this book for such a time as now, to radically change your financial status and destroy the spirit of poverty over you, and to permanently set free generations yet born. This book will challenge you to grow and prosper. As you read and study this great writing, allow each page to come to life. In doing so, you will establish a legacy for you and your family.
